Testimonials
"Nikki is truly one of the best yoga instructors I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not only did I love her classes, but she also went above and beyond by mentoring me as a new yoga instructor. She made me feel seen and respected, especially as a plus-size person in yoga spaces that often don’t account for bodies like mine. Her flows are consistently amazing, thoughtful, and accessible. Nikki always offers alternative movements for those with injuries, larger bodies, or different abilities, ensuring everyone feels supported and included. She’s made a lasting impact on me and on everyone who has had the privilege of learning from her. I can’t recommend her enough!"
-LAUREN STEVIK - YOGA INSTRUCTOR
"I have had the pleasure to participate in Yoga with Nikki as the instructor. I have tried Yoga in the past, but did not find it beneficial so I didn’t continue with it. Upon my first encounter with Nikki, she was attentive to each student while teaching. I was very stiff, so much so that I was unable to sit with my legs crossed. She noticed and quickly came to the rescue. After the 3rd class I could tell that I was not as stiff and was able to sit on the floor with my legs crossed (Sukhasana). Nikki is intuitive, she scans the room and will offer pose adjustments as she discerns your needs. I have also received the service and BENEFIT of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (a form of assisted stretching) by Nikki. I felt so good after that session, I secured my next session immediately! I recommend with urgency anyone reading this review to book a yoga or assisted stretching session with her. You will not be disappointed!"
-KELLY BANKS, YOGA AND ASSISTED STRETCHING CLIENT
"I have been practicing yoga with Nikki for over 6 months, and the experience has been transformative and informative. After her sessions, my body feels noticeably better - less aches and pains, and more ease and flexibility. The benefits aren't just physical: I leave each class with a clearer mind and a sense of calm that last throughout the day. What I appreciate: Expert instruction and safe alignment cues. Thoughtful, well rounded sequences that balance strength and mobility. Gentle hands-on adjustments when appropriate. Inspirational quotes that help me stay motivated and mindful. If you're looking for a compassionate instructor who knows her craft and genuinely cares about her students well being, she is fantastic. Highly recommend. P.S. At the end of the session, she also places an essential oil scented towel on your forehead. You have to experience this! I could go on..."
-NICHOLA, YOGA PRACTITIONER
"Taking a yoga class at 73 is daunting. Nikki helps me connect to my mind and my body, and realize the possibilities and the potential of breathing and moving. I can still do it!!! That is a gift to realize that. Her knowledge, words of guidance, and her gentleness, have allowed me to feel more balanced, and have given me increased flexibility. Not only in my body, but in my heart. It is not always easy to to class, but when I do, I leave feeling renewed."

My passion for accessible, trauma-sensitive movement began after surviving domestic violence, when yoga became a pathway to healing, resilience, and self-discovery. I am also passionate about teaching in a way that makes yoga accessible to all body shapes and sizes.
My professional journey deepened while working with military personnel in Okinawa, Japan. Motivated to better support those experiencing PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, I traveled to Austin, Texas, to complete specialized training through Warriors At Ease. This training expanded my ability to offer movement and mindfulness practices that honor the nervous system, empower choice, and meet each individual exactly where they are.
Because accessibility is at the heart of my mission, Nikkia also provides one-on-one Assisted Stretching directly in clients’ homes. I recognize that healing should be available to everyone, including those who may not have the ability or comfort to travel to a studio.
When I am not continuing my education or developing new ways to support others, I enjoy reading, writing, relaxing with my favorite shows, and dancing salsa, bachata, and kizomba with my husband.
